Systems for Household

Tap water does not always meet the requirements of the highest purity, as increasing pollutant and wastewater loads can contaminate it. Although the European Drinking Water Ordinance specifies limit values for certain ingredients, contamination by heavy metals, hormones, nitrates, chlorine, or even radioactive substances can very often be detected in the water.
The piping system also significantly affects the quality of the water, so that lead or copper ions as well as biological contaminants can get into the drinking water. More and more health-conscious people are therefore relying on the use of modern water filters for the home, which treat and purify the tap water. The selection of the right water filter depends on many factors: Special iron or lime filters can be used in both single-family and multi-family homes. Systems that use the reverse osmosis process produce drinking water of the highest purity directly in the kitchen. In addition, the drinking water can be purified by means of ion exchangers or chemical disinfection. Our experts will be happy to help you choose the right water treatment system for your home.

USF offers softening systems that are optimally designed to meet the needs of the respective household.

The systems, which are operated by means of a central control head, are available in two different versions: In the cabinet version, the softener column is integrated into the brine tank to save space, while in the separate version, the softener column is located next to the brine tank.

In addition, a choice can be made between a time- and volume-controlled system variant: With the time-controlled system, regeneration takes place after the set time has elapsed, for example after three days, or at an exactly defined time, such as 3 a.m.

The regeneration in the volume-controlled system begins – also after a predefined time – after the set volume has elapsed, which depends on the degree of hardness in the feed water and the size of the system.

The piping is made of PVC-U plastic or high-pressure hoses. Optional pre- and post-filters are available in various separation rates.
